John Edwards is set to officially announce that he is running for president today. His announcement will probably get buried under all the tributes to Ford. (So why am I blogging about it?) His One America site now reads "John Edwards '08" and they've changed their mission statement so that it reads less like a high schooler's Communist manifesto. (Darn. I was going to make fun of it.) Previously, it read something like: There are two Americas, one where people at the top get everything they want and the other where everyone struggles just to get by. Right, whatever. I'd consider President Bush at the top, but I don't think he got everything he wanted last Nov. 7th.
Edwards is supposed to announce in New Orleans, The City That Bush Flooded. Why not his home state of North Carolina? Don't they want him anymore?
Edward's campaign isn't going to last past the New Hampshire primary and it's not going to withstand the HiIlary juggernaut, so why bother?
